Disclosures
Effective 22 August 2026 · Spot Markets, Inc.
Read this alongside the terms and the index methodology. It is a disclosure, not an offer.
Indicative prices
Mids, depths, and percent changes shown on the homepage and the board are indicative. They are for illustration of how the book looks. They are not a quote, not a solicitation, and not a guarantee that an order of that size would clear at that price.
The Spot Index
The Spot Index is a volume-weighted median of eligible fills, rebased to the general-chat family. It is a published benchmark, not a traded instrument on this site. Construction, eligibility, and the daily 17:00 ET print are described in the methodology. Past prints are not a reliable guide to future prints.
Worked examples and savings
Homepage savings figures (median −41% versus list, the $250k / month worked example, seller utilization lift) are illustrative. They assume a mix of instruments, a max_price that actually fills, and the published fee schedule. Your result depends on what you buy, when you buy it, and how tight you set the limit.
Fees
The live schedule is on Fees & settlement. Simple and Advanced are different products. Volume tiers apply to Advanced only. The fill price is the price on the book. Spot does not trade against the book on its own account.
Capacity and delivery
Buying on Spot is a contract for delivery of inference (tokens at an instrument, region, and quality band), not a purchase of a named vendor endpoint and not a purchase of a security. Quality is held by continuous benchmarking; a venue that drifts is delisted. If a venue fails mid-request the router retries inside your limit and you are billed once.
Financially-settled products
Cash-settled contracts on the Spot Index, when available, are offered through a separate registered entity, to eligible counterparties, under a separate agreement. Nothing on this marketing site is an offer of those products.
Client funds
Prefunded balances are held in a segregated account at a US chartered bank, apart from Spot operating capital, and reconciled daily. Segregation is an operational control, not a guarantee against every form of loss, and it is not SIPC or deposit insurance on the notional you trade.
Conflicts
Spot is the exchange and the router. We earn a fee on notional cleared. We do not take proprietary positions on the book. Employees are prohibited from trading listed instruments for their own account.
Forward-looking statements
Claims about market size, future listings, or "the largest commodity market of the decade" are opinions about a market we are building. They can be wrong.
